A state task force would examine how Ohio's publicly funded early childhood programs prepare children for kindergarten and coordinate with schools.
A state task force would review how early childhood programs are governed, funded, and measured, including kindergarten readiness and links to later school success. It would recommend changes and send a final report to state leaders.
A task force would study Ohio's early childhood education system and recommend ways to improve it. The review covers early childhood programs, including publicly funded child care, preschool, early intervention, and other state-supported learning programs. The task force would focus on education, kindergarten readiness, school connections, outcomes, and how public spending relates to results. It would not broadly review child care licensing, health and safety rules, or providers' daily operations unless those matters directly affect educational quality, readiness, participation, or continuity. The task force would use existing data where practical, limit added reporting for providers and schools, and follow state and federal privacy rules when sharing or analyzing personal data. Members must be appointed within 30 days after the section takes effect. The first meeting must occur within 30 days after the last appointment, and the task force must meet at least monthly until it submits its report and ends.
