Each public school district would add yearly concussion testing to its written policy. The policy would cover every student in grades 6–12 who plays a school-organized sport or takes part in school cheerleading. A school doctor or athletic trainer would test the student's usual brain function before a sports season. If enacted, the act would take effect immediately.
