The proposal lists sentencing categories and maximum penalties for several vehicle crimes. The table includes repeat offenses involving automatic license plate reader systems, such as sharing captured plate data for a commercial purpose, as well as odometer tampering, possessing a stolen vehicle title, and altering or forging vehicle documents. This amendment would take effect only if HB 6411 and HB 6412 also become law. If enacted along with HB 6411 and HB 6412, the amendment would take effect 90 days after enactment.
