School food authorities would receive more for meals

Each lunch served in a school food authority would receive an additional 45 cents in reimbursement. The amount applies to each lunch served in a school food authority. The additional amount would begin October 1, 2026, and be adjusted under the cited law starting July 1, 2027.

Each listed breakfast served in a school food authority would receive an additional 28 cents in reimbursement. The amount applies to free and reduced-price breakfasts, and breakfasts served to children who do not qualify for free or reduced-price meals, in school food authorities. The additional amount would begin October 1, 2026, and be adjusted under the cited law starting July 1, 2027.
