Eligible neighboring towns and cities can form another public facilities district without a formation deadline. They do not need every partner from the original district to join.
Eligible towns and cities may form another public facilities district, a local government body for public facilities. At least two neighboring towns or cities must each have helped create a joint city-county public facilities district. Counties where these towns or cities are located may join if they also helped create the earlier joint district. Other partners in the original district do not have to participate. The law took effect June 11, 2026.
