More detail
Utah places a qualifying drug in the same schedule as its federal schedule. This covers FDA-approved drug compositions of Schedule I controlled substances, including any form of those substances. The drug must have FDA approval following clinical trials. The federal government must schedule the drug, or a form of it, outside Schedule I. The law took effect May 6, 2026.
