A Pennsylvania State Police member could count up to five years of earlier in-state municipal police work toward retirement credit.
The proposal would let a Pennsylvania State Police member count some earlier municipal police service toward retirement credit. It applies to Pennsylvania State Police members who previously served as municipal police officers in Pennsylvania. The service must have been as a municipal police officer in Pennsylvania. Credit could cover no more than five years of that service. The proposal says it would take effect 60 days after enactment.
