Starting November 1, 2026, brokers need no buyer agreement before showing property. Managing brokers and brokers who own the business may require agreements for brokers and sales associates working with them.
Brokers will not have to enter into an agreement with a buyer for real estate services before showing property, unless their supervising broker requires it. The rule covers Oklahoma property showings for purchase, lease, option, or exchange. An option gives someone the right to make a deal later. Managing brokers and brokers who own the business may require agreements for branch brokers, broker associates, and sales associates working with them, including employees and independent contractors. These rules take effect November 1, 2026.
