The resolution sets calendars for Oklahoma's 2027 and 2028 sessions, with deadlines for introducing and passing bills and dates for each session to end. Some measures are exempt, and chambers can waive deadlines.
The resolution sets calendars for the two regular sessions of the 61st Oklahoma Legislature. The dates cover bills and joint resolutions considered during the First and Second Regular Sessions of the 61st Oklahoma Legislature, subject to the stated exceptions. Both chambers may exempt a bill or joint resolution from all deadlines in both chambers by a two-thirds vote or under joint rules adopted by both chambers. One chamber may exempt a measure from its deadlines by a two-thirds vote or under that chamber's rules. The schedule does not apply to several categories of measures, including agency-rule measures, certain statute-merging and Ethics Commission measures, qualifying special or local laws, pension measures, specified state-fund measures, and measures deemed necessary for public peace, health, or safety by legislative leaders. The first session convenes January 5, 2027, recesses until February 1, and must adjourn by May 28, 2027. The second session convenes February 7, 2028, and must adjourn by May 26, 2028. Bill drafting requests, introductions, and final passage have earlier dates in each session.
No hearings or votes scheduled.
