OregonRelating to workforce requirements for public improvements constructed by educational institutions; prescribing an effective date.
What it does
Adds school districts that apply for and receive a matching fund grant from the Department of Education to the definition of "qualifying agency" for the purpose of applying apprenticeship requirements in connection with constructing public improvement projects. Provides that school districts that are qualifying agencies must retain in the school district general fund the amount of any reduction in payment to a contractor as a consequence of the contractor's failure to meet apprenticeship requirements. Takes effect on the 91st day following adjournment sine die.
