Starting November 1, 2026, the Department of Human Services provides contracted foster care partner agencies with monthly data about placement needs and outcomes. The reports must protect people’s identities.
The Department of Human Services provides foster care data to resource family partners every month. Resource family partners are private child-placing agencies under contract with the Department to recruit, retain, and support foster homes in coordination with the Department. The data must be up-to-date, combined across people, and stripped of details that identify individuals. The law takes effect November 1, 2026. The Department provides the data at regular monthly intervals after that date.
