Oklahoma alcohol commission would publish yearly enforcement reports
If adopted, this proposed replacement would require Oklahoma’s alcohol enforcement commission to share yearly enforcement information with state leaders and the public.
1
What it does
The ABLE Commission would report each year on license suspensions and revocations, complaints, and tickets, including complainants’ names and organizations.
Argument forA public yearly report could help residents and state leaders see how often licenses are suspended or revoked and why.
Argument againstPublishing complainants’ names and organizations could expose people who report problems to unwanted attention or pressure.
More detail
The ABLE Commission would prepare a yearly report on license suspensions and revocations, complaints, and tickets. The report would list the number of licenses suspended or revoked and the reasons, complaints submitted to the commission, and ticket counts and amounts. The report would include each submitted complaint with the complainant’s name and organization. The commission would prepare the report by February 28 each year, deliver it to the Governor, House Speaker, and Senate Senate President Pro Tempore, and post it on its website.
