The Secretary of State must file a proposed legislative measure before the 2027 regular session. The measure must recommend changes to campaign-finance limits and related reporting requirements in Oregon. The recommendations must reflect progress and experience implementing chapter 9, Oregon Laws 2024. If House Bill 4018 becomes law, the recommendations must also reflect experience implementing that 2026 law. The act takes effect on the 91st day after the 2026 regular session adjourns, and the filing is for consideration during the 2027 regular session.
