Major parties’ state and county committees can request available rooms in public state or local government buildings free in presidential election years and for convention delegate elections in other years. Other uses cannot cost more than other groups pay. Nevada public higher education buildings are excluded.
Public building managers must grant room use to eligible party committees that apply when space is available. This covers major parties’ state and county committees using rooms in buildings occupied by Nevada state or local government and open to the public. Buildings owned or occupied by the Nevada System of Higher Education are excluded. Use is free for any purpose in presidential election years and for meetings to elect convention delegates and alternates in other years. For other uses in nonpresidential years, the charge cannot exceed the rate charged to any other group during that period. These room-use rules took effect on July 1, 2025.
No hearings or votes scheduled.
