Each public college or university would finish a campus plan for menstrual product access within six months after the law takes effect. It would put the plan in place within 12 months.
Each public college or university president would develop and carry out a plan to improve access to menstrual products. The requirement covers every New Jersey public college and university. The plan must assess current access and needs, estimate demand for free products, identify distribution sites, and project costs. The president must send the plan to the school's governing body, which must send it to the Governor and Legislature. If enacted, the law would take effect immediately. Schools would finish their plans within six months and fully put them in place within 12 months of that date.
