Nevada’s Equal Rights Commission considers whether antisemitism motivated alleged discrimination in housing, jobs, or public places when reviewing religious creed claims.
In investigations of alleged discrimination in housing, jobs, or public places, the Commission considers whether antisemitism motivated the practice when deciding if it involved religious creed.
The Nevada Equal Rights Commission must consider whether antisemitism motivated an alleged discriminatory practice. This applies to investigations of alleged unlawful discrimination in housing, employment, or public accommodations. The Commission considers motivation to help determine whether the alleged practice was based on a person’s or group’s religious creed. For this duty, antisemitism has the meaning in the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s working definition adopted May 26, 2016, including its contemporary examples published as guidance on that date.
