Drivers would display identifying markers on their front windshield and rear window while making deliveries. This covers deliveries for private people or organizations, including app-based services, in vehicles drivers own, lease, or have permission to use. Taxis and other for-hire vehicles are excluded. Private delivery providers would create reflective or light-up markers, submit them to the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission for recording, and give each driver two. Drivers with light-up markers would turn them on during nighttime deliveries so they are visible from outside. These requirements would start on the first day of the third month following enactment.
