The proposal would require covered motor carriers to get a license before transporting railroad employees for hire within Nebraska. This would cover motor carriers, including transportation network companies, carrying railroad employees engaged in interstate commerce to or from work locations within Nebraska. Applicants would pay $250, identify their main Nebraska business location, and agree to follow state law and commission rules. The commission could suspend or revoke a license after notice and a hearing for specified noncompliance. The commission could not regulate the rates of a licensed carrier. A carrier would need the license before starting this transportation. It would last one year and could be renewed each year for $250.
No hearings or votes scheduled.
