Up to $4 million from sale proceeds, donations, and local funds would support capital improvements to the Ray Richards golf course through June 30, 2027.
A sale of the Ray Richards golf course would send 53.57% of the sale price to a permanent endowment for the University of North Dakota men’s varsity golf program. The rule covers the Ray Richards golf course, the listed golf course addition properties, and any portion of those properties. The University of North Dakota Alumni Foundation would control and manage the endowment. If the men’s varsity golf program ended before the property was conveyed, enough money would be used to restart it. Remaining money would support the men’s or women’s varsity golf programs or improvements to the Ray Richards golf course. The money-transfer rule would apply if and when the covered property is conveyed.
