If enacted, the Town of Holbrook may appoint Patrick Doherty as a firefighter despite the maximum age requirement. This provision applies only to Patrick Doherty's appointment to the Holbrook Fire Department. He must meet all other appointment requirements set by the town, state human resources officials, the Civil Service Commission, and any other applicable authority. He would remain subject to the laws, rules, qualifications, and standards that apply to Holbrook firefighters. The act would take effect upon passage.
