If enacted, the state education department would give covered speech-language pathologists an official teaching certificate designation. The provisions cover speech-language pathologists employed by a Missouri public school district or charter school. A person must hold a valid Missouri license to practice speech-language pathology, issued by the Missouri Board of Healing Arts. The provisions would take effect July 1, 2027.
