IdahoIdaho adjusts workforce and STEM agency budgets and staffing
Idaho would change budget amounts and authorized staffing for the Workforce Development Council and STEM Action Center for fiscal years 2026 and 2027.

The Workforce Development Council's fiscal year 2027 appropriation from the In-Demand Careers Fund would be reduced by $1,150,000, and it would be authorized six additional full-time positions. The reduction is $400,000 for personnel costs and $750,000 for operating expenses. The reduction and six-position authorization cover July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027.
The STEM Action Center's fiscal year 2027 appropriations would be reduced by $5,990,500, and its authorized staffing would decrease by seven positions. The appropriation reductions come from the General Fund and STEM Education Fund and cover personnel, operating expenses, capital purchases, and trustee and benefit payments.
