FloridaWater Management Districts
What it does
Water Management Districts; Provides requirements for Commission on Ethics relating to prohibited expenditures by WMDs; requires quorum & affirmative vote of majority of members of governing board before any action may be taken by board; requires South Florida WMD to provide specified detailed report; prohibits WMD from using state funds for specified purpose; authorizes districts to levy ad valorem taxes on certain property; provides requirements for maximum total millage rate; provides requirements for South Florida WMD's & other WMD’s budgets; requires WMD to give preference to certain bids, proposals, or replies for certain capital improvement projects; provides requirements for competitive selection process & procurement procedures.
