Beginning with the 2026 general election, Collier County voters choose five members of the Naples Airport Authority under residency and experience rules.
Collier County voters elect five Naples airport authority members, with three seats for Naples residents and two for county residents outside the city.
Candidates need at least five years of specified work experience. Current members stay through certification of the November 2026 results, and the Governor fills later vacancies.
Qualified Collier County voters elect all five airport authority members. Seats 1, 2, and 3 are for City of Naples residents. Seats 4 and 5 are for Collier County residents who live outside Naples. The election follows Florida's general election laws. All five members are elected in the 2026 general election. Later elections replace members when their four-year terms end.
Each authority member must meet a five-year work-experience requirement and submit an affirmation when qualifying. The Governor fills midterm vacancies for the remaining term. Candidates must have at least five years in financial management, small business operations, or aerospace. Current members remain in office during the transition to elected members. The candidate must affirm meeting the experience requirement to the Supervisor of Elections. A member elected or appointed to fill a vacancy serves only the unexpired term. Current members serve until the November 2026 general election results are certified. Elected members serve until successors are elected.
