Insurers could not reduce temporary disability payments because an eligible person might get or had received D.C. paid leave. The rule covered individual and group temporary or short-term disability policies, wherever they were issued, written, or delivered. The ban applied to reductions based on estimated or actual benefits under D.C.'s paid leave law. The act took effect after the Mayor approved it on February 13, 2026, and expired May 14, 2026.
