Starting July 1, 2026, designated federal funds may pay for building projects at Booneville and other Arkansas Human Development Centers.
The law reappropriates up to $5,382,921 for building work at Booneville and up to $7,227,176 for master plan work at the Human Development Centers, using designated federal funds.
The law reappropriates remaining funds for building projects at the Booneville Human Development Center and other Human Development Centers. At Booneville, the money may support its residential housing plan. At each Human Development Center, it may support that center’s master plan. The funds are payable from federal money designated by the Chief Fiscal Officer of the State. Contracts and other obligations cannot exceed funds actually available in the State Treasury. Grants, donations, and available cash income may also help pay project costs; the agency’s regular operating funds cannot be used for these projects. The appropriations take effect July 1, 2026.
