Starting July 1, 2026, the Department of Agriculture may use up to $1,365,889 for forestry work on state-owned lands and historic places, buildings, and objects, subject to available state funds and spending rules.
The law makes up to $950,889 and $415,000 available for Department of Agriculture forestry projects. The funds support the department's forestry work to acquire, manage, care for, or preserve state-owned lands, historic sites, buildings, structures, or objects. The money comes from the Arkansas Natural and Cultural Resources Grant and Trust Fund. The department may not commit more than the state funds actually available. It may supplement those funds with grants, donations, or available cash income or funds. Spending must follow state fiscal control laws and match the stated purposes. Both amounts take effect July 1, 2026.
