The board may charge a funeral establishment up to $30 for each covered final disposition. A certificate holder must report its preneed contract activity to the board. The reports cover preneed contracts and their funding, including trust assets, deposits, and withdrawals. The board sets the report’s form and may require reports as often as it considers necessary. After two failures to meet the reporting requirements, the board may require reports within 45 days after each calendar quarter, for a period it sets. The board sets how often reports are due. Quarterly reports may follow two defaults and continue for a period set by the board.
A certificate holder must file an annual statement about preneed activities of its trust. The statement covers preneed activities of a trust established by the certificate holder under this chapter. The board sets the filing date and form. The statement covers the preceding calendar year and is due by the date the board sets each year.
