FTC would investigate competition concerns among fire truck manufacturers

The Federal Trade Commission would investigate and report its findings to the House and Senate Judiciary Committees. The review would cover practices that limit competition among fire truck manufacturers and harms to firefighters, public agencies, and small businesses. The report would include recommendations for legislation or other fixes, as appropriate. The FTC would also report to both committees if someone failed to answer an information request on time. The findings report would be due no later than one year after the resolution’s adoption.
