Starting July 1, 2026, filers could request faster handling of certain state documents, with fees set by the secretary of state up to $5,000.
Filers could ask the secretary of state to speed up certain business and property documents for a fee of up to $5,000. Filing-time priority would stay the same.
The secretary of state may expedite the filing of certain documents when the filer requests it and pays a fee. This applies to documents filed under Wyoming statutes governing business organizations, property records, and specified real estate matters in titles 17, 34, and chapters 1 and 2 of title 40. The fee may be no more than $5,000. The secretary of state must set the fee and request process by rule. The rules must consider the fee's effect on filing volume, the cost of expedited service, and legal response deadlines. Expediting a filing does not change which filing gets priority based on filing time. The act states that it takes effect July 1, 2026.
