Consumers may obtain electric vehicle charging station service from any supplier or suppliers. This applies to consumers in an electric utility's certified territory and, when a cooperative has made the required filing, in that cooperative's territory. The service is treated as competitive under this chapter. In a cooperative's territory, the cooperative must have made the filing required by law. The text ties these provisions to the starting date of competitive retail electric service.
