If the act becomes law, the Chatham County Board of Commissioners may implement and enforce the ordinance and its accompanying zoning map. The ordinance is the one the board adopted on November 18, 2024. The map must accompany it and be adopted by the board before June 1, 2027. The board must approve the ordinance and map for them to take effect. The ordinance and map take effect when the board approves them. The board must approve them on or before June 1, 2027.
