The department may award a grant covering up to the full project cost. This applies to qualifying tax-exempt nonprofits developing, repairing, or improving property on state-owned land, using the Preserve New Jersey Green Acres Fund or a similar state fund. The department may still require the nonprofit to provide matching funds. The act would take effect immediately.
