The proposal would send electronic updates to licensed child care programs named on scholarship applications. It died when the session ended, so these rules are not in effect.
The Department of Health and Human Services would send electronic notices to licensed child care programs named on scholarship applications. The notice would go to the license holder for the program named as the intended provider on a child care scholarship application. The first notice would say the application is awaiting an eligibility decision. The commissioner would set rules for the notices’ form, content, and secure delivery. The first notice would be sent within 3 business days after the department receives the application. A follow-up would be sent within 3 business days after the application is approved, denied, or withdrawn. If enacted, the act would take effect 60 days after passage.
