New Hampshire school districts must post spending and salary reports before budget hearings, including a list of top administrators and employees earning over $100,000.
School reports must show 10-year spending and pay trends, using available years if fewer exist. They must list the 10 highest-paid administrators and any employee earning over $100,000 in wages.
Districts must post reports in at least three places and on their website, if they have one, at least seven days before the first budget hearing, excluding Sundays and legal holidays.
School districts must print information required by a referenced state law immediately before the budget question in their annual meeting notice.
School districts must publish one graph with four spending and pay measures and a table of highly paid staff. The graph covers cost per student, average teacher pay, average administrator pay, and total wages for employees and contractors of the shared school administration office plus district administrators outside that office. Districts with fewer than 10 years of records must use all available years. The table lists all administrators if fewer than 10 are employed or contracted. The law does not require inflation adjustments. These reporting requirements took effect September 8, 2026, under either outcome of the HB 564 condition.
School districts must post their reports before the first budget hearing. These requirements cover school districts holding a meeting to adopt a school budget. At least two posting locations must be businesses or other public places. A local newspaper may serve as one posting location. Public copies must use two pages, each at least 8.5 by 11 inches. The deadline is measured from the scheduled first budget hearing. These rules took effect September 8, 2026, under either outcome of the HB 564 condition.

The requirement applies to the annual warrant, the formal notice listing questions for a school district meeting. The information must appear immediately below the article number and title, before the question about adopting a school budget. This requirement took effect September 8, 2026.
