Michigan public retirement plan administrators would write policies spelling out how to respond when people responsible for plan investments fail to meet training requirements.
Public retirement plan administrators would need written policies for responding when people responsible for plan investments miss required training: at least eight hours every two years.
Each plan administrator would set a written policy for responding to missed training requirements. This applies to Michigan public retirement systems covered by the Public Employee Retirement System Investment Act. The training requirement is at least eight hours every two years for each person responsible for plan investments. Training would qualify if it reasonably relates to a trustee's duties, such as investing pension money or running the plan.
