Washington County and its municipalities must pass laws granting the property tax credit. The credit covers 100% of county or municipal property taxes on real estate owned by Platoon 22, Incorporated in Washington County. The property must be used to provide housing to veterans. The law took effect June 1, 2026. The credit applies to all taxable years beginning after June 30, 2026.
