Anne Arundel County leaders may grant credits that reduce county property tax bills. Eligible land must be in a designated Rural Legacy area. Its owner must have sold the rights to develop the land through the Rural Legacy Program. The county must pass a local law to grant the credit. The state law took effect June 1, 2026, and applies to taxable years beginning after June 30, 2026.
