Any course offered must be available to all school staff and administrators. The department must provide the course only if doing so is free or costs an amount it considers comparable to what it pays for a similar course. The price for taking the course must be comparable to courses for licensed staff worth the same number of professional development points. The course deadline is July 1, 2027. The law took effect July 1, 2026, and expires at the end of June 30, 2031.
