The House asks the Louisiana State University School of Health Sciences to conduct studies. The studies would examine links between environmental risks and mothers’ health, high-risk areas, unequal health outcomes, contributing risk factors, and gaps in environmental monitoring and health tracking. The studies are requested rather than required. Findings and recommendations are to go to the House and Senate health and welfare committees and the Senate Select Committee on Women and Children. Any report produced is also to go to the David R. Poynter Legislative Research Library in print and electronic form. The written report to the legislative committees is due no later than July 1, 2027.
No hearings or votes scheduled.
