Students who open enroll for primarily online instruction may join activities at their district of residence when their online school does not sponsor them. They must follow that district's activity rules.
Students may take part in activities sponsored by their district of residence. This applies to students who open enroll for instruction and course content primarily over the internet, and to activities for students in their grade or group. The online school must not sponsor the activity. Students must meet the resident district's eligibility, conduct, and other rules for the activity. Students may join no more than two activities per academic term during a school year unless their resident district approves more.
