Illinois law defines which vehicles count as implements of husbandry. The definition includes farm wagons and similar vehicles, as well as vehicles used to lift or carry farm implements. Vehicles must be designed and adapted only for agricultural, gardening, or livestock work, or for lifting or carrying a farm implement. A farm wagon or similar vehicle is excluded if it exceeds either stated axle weight limit and weighs more than 36,000 pounds in total.
