More detail
Use the license holder’s current residence to determine certain permit and stamp fees and status in covered drawings. This covers lifetime fishing, hunting, and combination licenses purchased on or after January 1, 2027. This applies to permits and stamps under the Fish and Aquatic Life Code or Wildlife Code, and to covered lotteries, drawings, permits, and stamps. A holder who does not live in Illinois counts as a nonresident for those lotteries, drawings, permits, and stamps. These rules apply to licenses purchased on or after January 1, 2027.
