On-duty death benefits would cover local public works field workers

The bill would list certain county and municipal employees as covered people under the on-duty death benefit rules. The employees must be assigned to job-related field work building, repairing, operating, inspecting, or maintaining public infrastructure, such as water systems, roads, and bridges. Employees in public works, utilities, engineering, or similar departments must meet the field assignment rule.
