After a governor declares an emergency, the state emergency office must report on response and recovery, while affected local governments must share recovery information.
The state emergency office must complete a response report within 180 days after an emergency is declared and a recovery report within 180 days after it ends. It must also send both reports and any annual recovery updates to legislative committees.
Each affected city or county must send the state emergency office information about local recovery efforts, including findings and recommendations from reviews of the public safety response and disaster recovery.
The Office of Emergency Services must complete two after-action reports and send them, along with annual recovery updates, to the Assembly and Senate emergency management committees. The first report reviews public safety response; the second reviews recovery activities for a state of emergency. The first report is due within the first 180 days after declaration. The recovery report is due no later than 180 days after the emergency ends. Annual updates begin at declaration and continue until the recovery report is complete.
Each affected local government must give the Office of Emergency Services information about local recovery efforts. This applies to each city, county, or combined city and county affected by a governor-declared state of emergency. The information is due no later than 120 days after the governor-declared emergency ends.
No hearings or votes scheduled.
