The law sets lower state appropriations for certain assistance program administration in 2026–27. The adjustments cover administration by the Office of Economic Security and related Medicaid program administration funded through the health care department. The reductions do not apply if a related appropriation is smaller than the required adjustment or is not included in the annual state budget. These budget adjustments take effect only if the 2026–27 annual state budget becomes law. They start on the later effective date of this act or that budget.
