The 2026-27 budget reduces the evaluation appropriation by $750,000 when the stated conditions are met. The adjustment concerns state education fund money for the Department of Education’s outside evaluation of the early literacy program. This adjustment takes effect only if the 2026-27 annual budget becomes law, and then on the later effective date of that budget or this act.
