By July 1, 2027, covered Colorado schools and boards must post a policy directing resources and support to at-risk students, unless a qualifying existing support plan already meets the requirement.
Covered schools and boards must adopt, carry out, and post a policy directing resources and support to at-risk students. Schools with certain existing support plans can use those plans instead.
Policies may include counseling and other student services, tutoring and summer programs, teacher supports, and ways to engage families across language and cultural differences.
Covered schools and boards must adopt, carry out, and post an access policy directing resources and support to at-risk students. This applies to institute charter schools, district charter schools, and local boards for their schools that are not district charter schools. A school already participating in a specified improvement or turnaround plan that directs resources and support to at-risk students meets this requirement through that plan, and must post the plan. The policy must be adopted and carried out by July 1, 2027. A qualifying existing plan must be posted on the school or district website.
Covered schools and boards may include a range of student, family, and community supports in the policy. The policy directs resources and support to at-risk students and may also address services for families and the community. These are optional examples; a policy does not have to include every listed support.
