For taxes collected starting in 2027, eligible nonprofit halls can use a 50-day annual allowance for regular fundraising while meeting other property tax exemption requirements.
For taxes collected in 2027 and later, eligible nonprofit halls may hold regular fundraising activities up to 50 days each calendar year while meeting other tax exemption requirements.
Eligible nonprofit halls may use the 50-day annual allowance for regularly scheduled fundraising while keeping their property tax exemption. The allowance covers regularly scheduled fundraising at nonprofit public assembly halls and meeting places that qualify under RCW 84.36.037. The property must meet the other requirements for its tax exemption. Setup and takedown days immediately before or after an event do not count toward the annual limits. The rule applies to taxes levied for collection in 2027 and thereafter. Section 1 expires January 1, 2033, when Section 2 takes effect with the same fundraising allowance.
